Pancho Barnes Film TV ENCORE April 20th

KOCE-TV PBS Television, Huntington Beach, will ENCORE the award-winning documentary, “The Legend of Pancho Barnes and the Happy Bottom Riding Club” on Tuesday evening, April 20th at 9:00 p.m., and a second ENCORE
presentation on Sunday night, April 25th at 11:00 p.m. KOCE-TV, the nation’s sixth-most-watched public television station, is proud to have supported the creation of this dynamic documentary, about one of the most important women in 20th Century aviation.

This new documentary film tells the story of an aviatrix, a stunt pilot, a test pilot, a legend – a woman named Pancho Barnes – one of the most exciting aviation figures from the early days of flight. To visit the filmmakers website, go to LegendofPanchoBarnes.com.

Made with the assistance of the KOCE-TV Foundation (PBS Television, Huntington Beach), The Legend of Pancho Barnes is directed by Amanda Pope. The main source of materials for this great film is the Pancho Barnes Archive, as unlimited access was granted to the filmmakers in their quest to tell Pancho’s story, by Pancho Barnes Enterprises (who manage the Pancho Barnes Archive & Estate of Pancho Barnes and owns all rights of publicity, copyrights and trademarks associated with Pancho Barnes). THIS FILM WILL BE BROADCAST BY OVER 100 PBS STATIONS NATIONWIDE on over 100 PBS stations! Each station’s specific airdate could be soon, but will most likely be during the month of May 2010, as each station independently decides on their specific air date.
